Below is sample information that can be added to your institution’s web site and/or sent via email, newsletter, etc. to promote your institution’s CUSP participation
Exciting news! Our (Univ of X) institution has elected to participate in CUSP.
What are the benefits of CUSP?
- Easy and convenient access to a huge variety of procedures that are in use at institutions across the country.
- Reading a broad range of procedures and comparing them can help researchers learn about new procedures and also identify novel approaches and refinements to procedures they already use.
- Providing researchers across the country with access to detailed methodological descriptions of the same procedures will help support consistency within and across institutions.
- Makes possible direct communication with the research group that posted the procedure if follow-up questions arise. Note that it is optional to submit contact information. Institutions contributing procedures may remain anonymous if they choose
How does CUSP work?
We will provide access to the CUSP database of standard procedures. A designated Institutional Representative (IR) will set up the user accounts and then help you to view and download procedures from within CUSP. You can use keywords to specifically search for a procedure or browse a field such as chinchilla anesthesia procedures. Once a procedure is in our institution’s database, it will have to be approved by the IACUC before it can be used.. It will then be added to the database of Standard Procedures that can be selected by any researcher to use in their protocol.
Who is our Institutional Rep?
Our IR is Mr. Rogers and they can be reached at: misterrogers@inst.edu.
Is CUSP secure?
Yes, there are multiple security features that ensure a safe browsing experience.
Institutions may also display the CUSP logo, as shown here and attached as an image file below.
